Project Coordinator

Primary Objectives

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical support role within our Mergers Department in an innovative and growing technology company. This role focuses on organization, administration, documentation, and communication to ensure projects stay on track.

As a Project Coordinator you will:  

  • Coordinate scheduling, tracking, and documentation of merger and conversion projects. 
  • Support mergers team in completing and executing on project deliverables.  
  • Maintain and update project plans, task lists, and timelines to ensure smooth execution. 
  • Prepare and distribute status reports, meeting notes, and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate meetings between project teams, clients, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and follow-ups. 
  • Track and monitor project milestones, flagging potential risks or delays to Project Managers. 
  • Ensure all project-related documents, contracts, and approvals are properly organized and archived. 
  • Support in maintaining and improving project management tools and templates. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments. 
  • Assist with internal process improvement. 
Qualifications

You should have: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a project coordination, administrative, or support role (preferably in a software, credit union, banking, or financial services environment). 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and professional interactions. 
  • Experience with project management tools. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and results-driven environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset 
  • An eagerness to learn from both experienced team members and newer colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous knowledge sharing. 
  • A commitment to professional development and an enthusiasm for growing within the role through ongoing learning opportunities and expanding your skillset. 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience in financial services, credit unions, or SaaS software implementation. 
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, Lean Six Sigma, and Human-Centered Design. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Business Analyst – Remote

Primary Objectives:

Join Lodestar Technologies as a Business Analyst where you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling our clients, primarily financial institutions across North America, to harness the power of data analytics. Your primary objective will be to collaborate with clients, understanding their unique business needs and leveraging our business intelligence software infrastructure to address them effectively. You’ll analyze data to unveil trends and ensure accuracy, provide essential training and support, gather requirements for reporting and development, and conduct quality assurance testing. Your efforts will be instrumental in promoting the vision and utilization of business intelligence within our client base and prospective partners, contributing significantly to their success in leveraging data for informed decision-making across all facets of their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and objectives, particularly within the financial sector, ensuring alignment with the capabilities of the Fintech company’s offerings.
  • Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making for both clients and the Fintech company.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for software development, ensuring clear communication and understanding of needs.
  • Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Perform thorough testing and validation of software solutions to ensure they meet the defined requirements and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to clients on the effective use of products and services, ensuring maximum value realization and user adoption.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of solutions in meeting client needs, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the Fintech space, providing insights and recommendations for future product enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and process documentation, to support clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and other relevant parties, fostering strong communication and collaboration to drive successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • Previous experience with any of the following core banking platforms is a must: DNA, Symitar, Correlation.
  • Excellent understanding of Financial Services data specifically related to Banking/Credit Unions.
  • Knowledge of banking systems, data structures, and regulatory requirements related to ETL processes in the banking industry.
  • Familiar with software development processes such as requirements gathering, developing statements of work, testing and code deployment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data integration issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Data-driven individual that believes in the value of information and how it can transform the enterprise.
  • Innovative, curious and solution-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
  • An individual who is comfortable with rapidly changing technology.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong command on spoken and written English.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.

DevOps Team Lead - Remote

Primary Objectives:

The DevOps Team Lead will play a key role in an innovative and growing company. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will oversee both a software development process and its continued operation after release. On the software development end, the DevOps Team Lead works to actively manage the development pipeline according to defined SLAs and works closely with the Product Manager to review new product enhancements ensuring the successful implementation of them back into the product. At the same time, performing programming duties and working on active development projects. On the operations end, the DevOps Team Lead works to ensure the production application in our clients is patched, tuned, our clients are supported, and keeps all aspects of the product up to date. The DevOps Team Lead will be leading a team of systems engineers, Oracle programmers and application analysts and will provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Responsibilities 

  • Managerial Role – Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Delivery – building, testing, deploying applications quickly and in an automated manner.
  • Infrastructure Automation – creating systems, OS configuration, and application deployments as code.
  • Site Reliability Engineering – operate systems; monitoring, orchestration, and designing for operability and security.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Technology Officer on continuously improving the product, architecture, and efficiency of supporting the application
  • Defining, testing, and patching our Oracle db and Oracle Analytics application.
  • Manage the day-to-day testing activities of the Dev team which includes resource allocation, escalating and resolving software defects and issues, participating in release testing activities.
  • Research, gather feedback, and help build momentum for change within the organization as we move to a SaaS environment
  • Gather product & business requirements, gut check new ideas and proposals, balance tech-debt and delivery of product functionality
  • Accountable to the applications availability, performance and participate in high priority escalation calls
  • Effectively manage multiple highly visible priorities at a time
  • Influence or provide input to cost and capacity forecasting and planning activities

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in product development or DevOps
  • Experience managing and leading a team of programmers through the software development life cycle
  • Excellent programming/scripting skills in Oracle PL/SQL, Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash
  • Experience with Cloud / Virtualization concepts and tools (AWS, Azure, or OCI)
  • Must have experience with basic infrastructure services like LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
  • Good understanding of modern source control tools and associated methodologies
  • Good understanding of Financial Services data
  • REST APIs knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of DevOps culture and Agile Methodology.

Good to have:

  • Oracle Analytics experience an asset
  • Oracle APEX experience an asset
  • SaaS and multi-tenant development experience
  • Cloud security and knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of the cloud.
  • Prior telecom and networking experience is helpful.
