Systems Support Analyst

Department: Systems Team

The Systems Support Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of client environments for Lodestar Technologies. This position is responsible for the daily monitoring of applications, databases, and operating systems, ensuring that any issues are identified and resolved quickly to minimize client impact. The role includes reviewing and correcting log file errors, installing software patches and releases, and providing client-facing support. The analyst will work closely with the Systems Team to ensure reliable operations and contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoringand support processes.Below is the list of responsibilities and qualifications. Key Responsibilities

Daily Environment Monitoring

  • Monitor client application and database environments to ensure functionality, availability, and performance.
  • Perform daily log reviews, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve errors.
  • Track and escalate recurring problems to the Senior Systems Engineer for root cause analysis


Release & Patch Management

  • Support the installation and validation of application releases, upgrades, and patches.
  • Coordinate downtime windows with clients where necessary.
  • Document update and deployment steps for repeatable processes


Client-Facing Support

  • Serve as a first-line technical contact for clients on environment-related issues.
  • Provide clear and professional communication regarding incidents, resolutions, and planned maintenance.
  • Build strong relationships with client IT teams by providing reliable, knowledgeable support.

Systems Operations

  • Perform routine system checks and maintenance on Windows Server operating systems.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Team on improvements to monitoring, alerting, and automation.
  • Participate in on-call or adjusted schedules, including weekend coverage, to support client uptime requirements.

Database & Analytics Application Support

  • Provide basic support for monitoring and troubleshooting Oracle database environments (experience is an asset).
  • Provide basic support for analytics application environments, escalating complex issues to senior team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration (service management, patching, log review, system monitoring).
  • Familiarity with application operations (deployments, troubleshooting, log checks)
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing log files to identify and correct errors.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical issues in plain language.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, to align with client requirements.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and process discipline.

Preferred Background & Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT systems support, application support, or operations support. Hands-on Windows Server experience (required). Exposure to Oracle Databases (asset). Experience supporting analytics or business intelligence applications (asset).
  • Certifications (asset): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, Oracle Database Foundations, ITIL Foundation, or similar.
  • Credit Union or Community Bank experience is a plus.
  • Client support experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Client Onboarding & Implementation

  • Manage end-to-end client onboarding projects from kickoff through successful go-live and handoff.
  • Design and execute tailored implementation plans that account for each client's unique data landscape, technical environment, and business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders, data analysts, developers, and client stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Build Client Relationships & Drive Adoption

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the implementation journey.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to deeply understand client needs, pain points, and success criteria.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer to build client capability and confidence.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, training materials, and best practice guides.

Deliver Excellence & Enable Self-Sufficiency

  • Set clear expectations and maintain transparent communication on timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex data integration challenges across multiple source systems–documenting the outcome for future use cases.
  • Empower clients with the knowledge, tools, and processes to maintain and optimize their solutions independently.
  • Gather feedback and insights to continuously improve our implementation methodology and client experience.


Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on project health metrics, resource allocation, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance scalability.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our implementation frameworks, templates, and best practices.
  • Mentor team members and share lessons learned across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills & Competencies
  • 2-3 years of project management experience, preferably in FinTech, data analytics, or enterprise software implementation.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Financial Services/Credit Union/Community Bank experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and reporting/BI tools.
  • Experience working with multi-source data integration and enterprise data architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear and professional interactions.

This is a hands-on and analytical role that supports both daily operations and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting Operations

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Business Analyst – Remote

Primary Objectives:

Join Lodestar Technologies as a Business Analyst where you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling our clients, primarily financial institutions across North America, to harness the power of data analytics. Qualifications

Mandatory Skills:

  • Previous experience with any of the following core banking platforms is a must: DNA, Symitar, Correlation.
  • Excellent understanding of Financial Services data specifically related to Banking/Credit Unions.
  • Knowledge of banking systems, data structures, and regulatory requirements related to ETL processes in the banking industry.
  • Familiar with software development processes such as requirements gathering, developing statements of work, testing and code deployment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data integration issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Data-driven individual that believes in the value of information and how it can transform the enterprise.
  • Innovative, curious and solution-oriented individual with strong communication skills.

DevOps Team Lead - Remote

Primary Objectives:

The DevOps Team Lead will play a key role in an innovative and growing company. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will oversee both a software development process and its continued operation after release. On the software development end, the DevOps Team Lead works to actively manage the development pipeline according to defined SLAs and works closely with the Product Manager to review new product enhancements ensuring the successful implementation of them back into the product. At the same time, performing programming duties and working on active development projects. On the operations end, the DevOps Team Lead works to ensure the production application in our clients is patched, tuned, our clients are supported, and keeps all aspects of the product up to date. The DevOps Team Lead will be leading a team of systems engineers, Oracle programmers and application analysts and will provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Responsibilities 

  • Managerial Role – Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled DevOps professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Delivery – building, testing, deploying applications quickly and in an automated manner.
  • Infrastructure Automation – creating systems, OS configuration, and application deployments as code.
  • Site Reliability Engineering – operate systems; monitoring, orchestration, and designing for operability and security.

Expected salary range is $80,000 – $85,000 USD ($105,000 – $115,000 CAD). Position is open to applicants in the US and Canada.
